It's a massive shame. It's not peculiar to the Baptist church but likewise it doesn't affect some other streams in the same way.

We're haemorrhaging younger people who would frankly rather be part of a church which is busy getting on with the business of being church.

In lots of ways I think the lack of resources are not the problem - perhaps church leaders just don't quite know HOW to release these gifts in others?

Paul

PS. perhaps I'm just in a grumpy mood...Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00071143627145929979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9901815.post-64458162229922975072011-12-12T11:15:47.117+00:002011-12-12T11:15:47.117+00:00Valuable & helpful reflections Simon. God tends not to work through establishments. Think of Amos as a rep of marginal unlikely people God chose, even before we start looking at the people Jesus mixed with. Trouble is, we don't like to think about this; it's too hard, and that includes me!Jenny Fewnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9901815.post-1405955561373865352011-12-11T18:23:44.023+00:002011-12-11T18:23:44.023+00:00Spot on ! thank you
