Excellent words from Sarah Teather (here). We need politicians who speak well in the migration debate. There is so much mis-speaking, so much name calling, so many 'think tanks' who speak without thought.
Words need to be weighed and set out carefully so that they cast light rather than generate heat. Thanks Sarah.

Sarah gave a version of this address at the Churches Refugee Network conference at Bloomsbury recently - she was absolutely on money. She finished by calling Christians to speak and live the alternative narrative of kingdom justice at every opportunity, to counter the narratives of racism and nationalism with the story of an inclusive way of being human that is rooted in the stories of scripture.
